NDIS supports usually need to connect to disability-related needs and plan goals, represent value for money, be effective and consider what families, community and mainstream services usually provide.
This page gives a simple overview for participants, families, nominees, support coordinators and plan managers. For decisions, always check your plan and official NDIS resources.

AmizaCare is a registered NDIS provider. Registered providers must meet relevant NDIS practice standards, worker screening and conduct obligations for the supports they deliver.
Participants should have a say in the supports they receive, who provides them, how information is shared and who is involved in conversations, unless a legal decision-maker is involved.
A good referral includes the participant goal, suburb, plan type, requested support, risks, communication preferences, preferred times and any consent arrangements.
AmizaCare accepts self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants. The plan type changes how invoices, claims and provider choice usually work.
The participant or nominee manages invoices and claims. Provider choice can be broader, but records and payments still need to be managed carefully.
A plan manager pays invoices from the participant plan and helps track budgets. AmizaCare can send invoices to the plan manager where agreed.
NDIA-managed participants generally use registered providers for relevant supports. AmizaCare can discuss service fit and claiming arrangements.
A service agreement should describe the supports, responsibilities, pricing approach, cancellation arrangements, communication, complaints and how changes will be handled.
Send the support request, suburb, plan type and goals. We aim to respond within 1-2 business days.
