Safe, respectful support starts before the first shift

AmizaCare checks service fit, worker suitability, risk information and consent before support starts. Safety is part of how support is matched, delivered and reviewed.

NDIS Code of Conduct

Workers and providers are expected to act with respect, integrity and competence, and to protect people from harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

Read the NDIS Code of Conduct

Incident management

Incidents and near misses should be reported, recorded, reviewed and used to improve safety. Serious matters may need external reporting.

Safeguarding

Support should protect dignity, privacy, choice, consent and the participant's right to raise concerns or change support arrangements.

Worker checks and training

Workers are required to have suitable checks and training where relevant to the role, participant needs and support setting.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check where required
  • Police Check where required
  • First Aid/CPR where required
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Participant-specific training for high intensity or higher-risk supports where needed
